We had also enabled Physical Address Extension with the \/PAE boot.ini switch.<\/p>\n<p>Following these changes Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 failed to start. Each time we loaded Outlook, it would crash complaining of a failure in <strong>outlook.exe, module mspst32.dll<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We fixed this issue by installing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/downloads\/details.aspx?FamilyID=E25B7049-3E13-433B-B9D2-5E3C1132F206\">Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to this <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/896253\">Microsoft KB article<\/a> adding the \/PAE switch was to blame.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had just installed some extra RAM onto a Terminal Server running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x86 (32-bit).
