This meant US shopping results in dollars, amongst other things.<\/p>\n<p>In your Firefox directory,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Windows:<\/strong><br \/>\n<code>C:\\Program Files\\Firefox <em>or<\/em> C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Firefox<\/code><\/p>\n<p><strong>Linux:<\/strong><br \/>\n<code>\/usr\/lib\/firefox-xxxx\/<\/code><\/p>\n<p>You will find a folder called &#8220;<em>searchplugins<\/em>&#8220;. In there is <em>google.xml<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Make a copy of this and edit the contents so that each mention of &#8220;google.com&#8221; changes to &#8220;google.co.uk&#8221;. Also change the title (ShortName) from &#8220;Google&#8221; to &#8220;Google UK&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In linux this is easy,<br \/>\n<code>sed -e 's\/google.com\/google.co.uk\/g; s\/ShortName>Google\/ShortName>Google UK\/' google.xml | tee google-uk.xml<\/code><\/p>\n<p>In windows it maybe a little more tricky as UAC gets in the way.
