Maybe all versions of Windows using the GPL PV drivers.<\/h2>\n<p>I just installed a Windows 7 guest onto a Debian Wheezy Xen dom0. I installed these <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.univention.de\/index.php?title=Installing-signed-GPLPV-drivers\">GPLPV drivers v11.0.372<\/a>. Using RealVNC to setup the machine was fast and responsive, however once I switched over to RDP the machine was acting like a mule. The RDP session was slowly redrawing the screen as each new application loaded. Internet Explorer&#8217;s default MSN page with its ever changing news feed image was causing the session to almost lock up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fix is to disable Large Send Offload on the Xen network adapter.<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/devmgmt_xen.png\" rel=\"lightbox[952]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/devmgmt_xen.png\" alt=\"devmgmt_xen\" width=\"662\" height=\"539\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-953\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nooblet.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/devmgmt_xen.png 662w, https:\/\/www.nooblet.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/devmgmt_xen-300x244.png 300w, https:\/\/www.nooblet.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/devmgmt_xen-624x508.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 662px) 100vw, 662px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Simple instructions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Start Orb<\/li>\n<li>Type: &#8220;devmgmt.msc&#8221; and press enter\n<\/li>\n<li>In device manager, find Network Adapters\n<\/li>\n<li>Right click, &#8220;Xen Net Device Driver&#8221; and choose Properties\n<\/li>\n<li>Under the advanced tab, click &#8220;Large Send Offload&#8221; and adjust the Value to &#8220;Disabled&#8221;\n<\/li>\n<li>Click Okay (if you did this via RDP, you will lose the connection as the network is reset, just reconnect)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update: The same issue and fix are relevant for Windows Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 and Windows 8.
