Task Manager needs to be UAC-elevated in order to perform the remote control task.<\/p>\n<p>The long-term fix is to disable UAC like discussed in this <a href=\"http:\/\/social.technet.microsoft.com\/Forums\/windowsserver\/en-US\/09db3d4b-2329-485f-94b8-80fcf89ed642\/windows-server-2008-r2-session-id-x-remote-control-failed-domain-administrator?forum=winserverTS\">Technet forum post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/task-manager-processes-uac.png\" alt=\"task-manager-processes-uac\" width=\"346\" height=\"107\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-974\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nooblet.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/task-manager-processes-uac.png 346w, https:\/\/www.nooblet.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/task-manager-processes-uac-300x92.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A quicker method, and if you want to keep UAC enabled, is to elevate Task Manager by going to the &#8220;Processes&#8221; tab and clicking &#8220;Show processes from all users&#8221; button.
